On Easter Sunday, President Donald J. Trump shared a heartfelt message on Truth Social, extending warm wishes to people across the country and around the world. He wrote, “Melania and I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter!” The President acknowledged the various ways people might be observing the holiday, saying, “Whether you are heading out to Church or watching Service from home, may this day be full of Peace and Joy for all who celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.”
Emphasizing the spiritual significance of the day for Christians, President Trump concluded his message with a triumphant reminder: “HE IS RISEN!!” His message reflected the importance of Easter as a time of hope, renewal, and faith, and he wished that all who observe the holiday experience blessings of peace and joy with their loved ones.
Throughout his presidency and beyond, President Trump has often recognized religious holidays and encouraged Americans to celebrate their faith and traditions. This Easter message continued that practice, reaching out to the nation with warm regards and good wishes during this special time of year.
President Trump: Happy Easter to All
President Donald Trump made a post in which he wished everyone a Happy Easter, but he did so in a characteristically pointed and critical manner. In his message, he extended Easter greetings not just to his supporters or to the general public, but also to those he strongly disagrees with politically. Specifically, he mentioned “the Radical Left Lunatics”—a phrase he often uses to describe his political opponents on the left—who, according to him, are actively working to undermine the country.
He accused these opponents of “fighting and scheming” to allow dangerous individuals—such as murderers, drug lords, dangerous prisoners, those he describes as “mentally insane,” and members of violent gangs like MS-13, as well as individuals who commit domestic violence—back into the United States. Trump’s assertion is that these people are being welcomed or enabled to re-enter the country due to the actions or policies of his political adversaries.
President Trump continued his message by also addressing what he calls the “WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement Officials.” He blames these officials for permitting what he sees as an ongoing, “sinister attack” on the nation, describing this attack as so violent and unprecedented that it will never be forgotten in history.
He then directly blamed President Joe Biden, referring to him as “Sleepy Joe Biden,” a derogatory nickname Trump often uses. Trump accused Biden of deliberately allowing millions of criminals to enter the United States without proper vetting or checks, due to what Trump calls an “Open Borders Policy.” Trump characterized this policy as the most disastrous act ever committed against America.
President Trump labeled Biden as the “WORST and most Incompetent President” in U.S. history, suggesting that Biden had no idea how to govern. He even joked or speculated about whether someone else—possibly the person operating the automatic signature machine (the “Auto Pen”)—is the real decision-maker in the White House.
Trump also took the opportunity to allege, once again, that the 2020 Presidential Election was stolen, accusing people of cheating to ensure Biden was elected, calling this group “highly destructive.”
Despite all these harsh criticisms and accusations, Trump closed his message in his typical style, wishing all of these people—including his political opponents, the judges and law enforcement officials he criticized, President Biden, the person operating the Auto Pen, and those he accuses of election fraud—a “very Happy Easter,” and claimed to do so with “great love, sincerity, and affection.”
