President Trump: Truth Social Post

President Trump announced that following his declaration of “LIBERATION DAY”—a term he is using to signal a new economic era—he has been approached by numerous leaders from around the world, as well as top executives from major international businesses. These individuals have been seeking exemptions or relief from the new tariffs that the United States is imposing on foreign goods and services.

Trump interprets these requests as a sign that the world understands the United States is now committed to enforcing strict trade policies. He emphasizes that America is no longer willing to tolerate what he describes as “decades of abuse,” referring to past trade deals and economic arrangements that he believes disadvantaged the United States in favor of other countries.

According to Trump, correcting these longstanding imbalances will not be easy for foreign governments or companies. He insists that the U.S. must focus on rebuilding its own wealth and ensuring fair, balanced trade relationships—what he calls “true RECIPROCITY,” meaning that the terms of trade and business should be equally beneficial for both sides.

Trump offers a solution for those who wish to avoid tariffs and trade barriers: he invites foreign businesses to invest directly in the United States by building factories and creating jobs in America. By producing goods within the country, these businesses can bypass tariffs and become part of what he frames as the American economic revival.

President Trump posted, NON-TARIFF CHEATING:

  1. Currency Manipulation
  2. VATs which act as tariffs and export subsidies
  3. Dumping Below Cost
  4. Export Subsidies and Other Govt. Subsidies
  5. Protective Agricultural Standards (e.g., no genetically engineered corn in EU)
  6. Protective Technical Standards (Japan’s bowling ball test)
  7. Counterfeiting, Piracy, and IP Theft (Over $1 trillion a year)
  8. Transshipping to EVADE Tariffs!!!
