President Trump: Truth Social Post
President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he is initiating a lawsuit against the law firm Perkins Coie, which is known for its involvement in Democratic political legal matters, including the commissioning of the Steele dossier during the 2016 presidential election. President Trump alleges that Perkins Coie committed “egregious and unlawful acts,” particularly singling out the behavior of an unnamed member of the firm.
President Trump then expresses his dissatisfaction with the judicial process, noting that U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell has been assigned to preside over his lawsuit. Judge Howell was appointed by President Barack Obama, and Trump claims she has demonstrated bias and unfairness in previous rulings involving him. He references a prior case where Judge Howell ruled against him, describing her actions as lacking appropriate judicial temperament. Trump claims that, despite her ruling, he ultimately prevailed in the case upon appeal, and that her original decision was widely criticized (“the talk of the town”).
He further asserts that Judge Howell is so biased against him that even a “100% perfect case” would be decided against him, attributing this to what he calls “Trump Derangement Syndrome”—a phrase Trump and his supporters use to accuse critics of irrational opposition to him. He concludes his post by harshly criticizing Judge Howell, calling her an “unmitigated train wreck,” and exclaiming “NO JUSTICE!!!” to suggest that he does not believe he will receive fair treatment in her court.
