President Trump: Truth Social Post
In a strongly worded post on Truth Social, President Trump voiced his deep concern regarding the current state of Los Angeles, which he described as “a once great American city” now facing what he called an “invasion and occupation” by Illegal Aliens and Criminals. The President alleged that these individuals had taken over the city, significantly impacting the safety and security of its residents.
He went on to claim that violent groups, which he characterized as “insurrectionist mobs,” were now actively confronting and attacking federal law enforcement officers in an attempt to obstruct ongoing deportation operations. According to President Trump, these groups have resorted to riots and chaos, seeking to undermine the enforcement of immigration laws.
President Trump stated that such “lawless riots” would not deter federal authorities; rather, they would only “strengthen our resolve” to restore order. He announced that he was instructing Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Attorney General Pam Bondi to coordinate with all relevant federal departments and agencies. Their mandate, according to the President, is to “take all such action necessary” to reclaim Los Angeles from what he referred to as the “Migrant Invasion” and to put an end to the ongoing unrest.
The President assured the public that “order will be restored,” promising that those in the country illegally would be “expelled” and that Los Angeles would be “set free” from the current turmoil. He concluded his statement by thanking Americans for their attention and reaffirming his commitment to restoring safety and security to the city.
President Trump: Los Angeles
President Trump took to social media to voice his strong criticism of local California leaders in the wake of unrest in Los Angeles. He began by calling out Governor Gavin Newsom—mockingly referring to him as “Newscum”—along with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (whom he mockingly referred to as “Mayor” in quotation marks), insisting that both officials owed the people of Los Angeles an apology for what he described as an “absolutely horrible job” in managing the city.
Trump specifically blamed them for the eruption of what he called “ongoing L.A. riots,” dismissing the participants as not merely protesters, but as “troublemakers and insurrectionists.” He also demanded that people “remember, NO MASKS!”—seemingly implying that those concealing their faces should be treated with suspicion or as criminals.
Just four minutes after this initial post, President Trump returned to the platform to double down on his accusations, bluntly labeling those involved in the unrest as “Paid Insurrectionists!”—suggesting that the people protesting or rioting were being financially compensated to cause chaos.
Roughly two hours later, President Trump posted again, this time referencing remarks by Jim McDonnell, whom he identified as the “highly respected LAPD Chief.” Trump claimed that McDonnell had stated the protesters were becoming “very much more aggressive,” and that McDonnell was considering whether the situation warranted “bringing in the troops.” Trump urged immediate action, writing: “He should, RIGHT NOW!!! Don’t let these thugs get away with this. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
Only two minutes after this, President Trump posted another urgent message, stating, “Looking really bad in L.A. BRING IN THE TROOPS!!!”—a clear call for military intervention in response to the disturbances.
Three minutes later, he added yet another post, demanding law enforcement action specifically against those wearing face coverings: “ARREST THE PEOPLE IN FACE MASKS, NOW!”—again implying that masked individuals were likely to be responsible for violence or disorder.
